Although this sketch was made about 46 years ago while Nixon was president it can be interpreted as a mirror image of the current state of US politics. I leave you the freedom to “read” between the lines and make sense of the drawing. History keeps repeating itself….

Your feedback is always appreciated!

Current Political Situation in a painting

To summarize it all in one abstract painting, this would be it. Lots of chaos, lots of loose heads, dark colors, some red spots and no overall direction of form and style. Anything else you would like to add?

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Trump mentioned God three times today!

I don’t recall ever hearing Mr. Trump invoke the name of God during his campaign. Today at inauguration he thought he should mention the almighty in order to make us all feel a little better. Nevertheless, I found the speech poor, lacking of personality and credibility with lots of big promises that very unlikely he will be able to maintain. In the end it all comes down to what we, the people, can and will do about it. Everybody deserves a chance, so let’s keep this door a little open and see what happens….

“The only difference between the Republican and Democratic parties is the velocities with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock on their door. That’s the only difference.” Ralph Nader

My gut feelings and my faith tell me that until God shuts a door, no human can shut it.

Such an expressive piece of art, it does not need any explanation from my side!
