To celebrate National Aboriginal Day in Canada, which was yesterday, I wanted to share this stunning watercolor paintings by Canadian artist Kathleen Gallagher. The dark representations of a native woman and the naked unprotected body. Paintings that catch your eye and lure you into a world full of sadness that seems unreal but unfortunately isn’t. The use of soft and harder brush strokes gives the painting a unique expression that keeps you trapped.

Well this one I don`t quite know what it should resemble but I leave you room for imagination. Happy Carnival to you all!!!

The escalator of life!

Watercolor painting on paper. I guess it doesn’t need to be explained.

This quote by William Golding, happy b-day by the way, I really like and it helps you understand the meaning of the painting.
“The journey of life is like a man riding a bicycle. We know he got on a bicycle and started to move. We know that at some point he will stop and get off. We know that if he stops moving and does not get off he will fall off.” #Golding
